When Williams debuted the FW14 chassis at the 1991 United States Grand Prix, the team had no idea just how successful it, and its immediate successors, would be. Initially possessing a woeful reliability record, the teething troubles eventually passed and the FW14 was the class of the field by some margin - the first time McLaren could not make that boast since the mid 1980s.
